Tent cities should not be the solution for the housing collapse

How many more tent cities need to pop up before the government decides to get the people out of these tents and back into some of those empty foreclosed homes, which some of these people lost due to bad loans, or they lost their jobs because of the financial crisis caused by those bad loans.
My first question is, "What have they (greedy bankers & investors) done to our American pride?"
The second question is, "Do they even care?" I am thinking, probably not!"
In my opinion, these homeless people, who are trying to live outside in a pup tent, are not lazy people. Keeping in mind that they don't have a kitchen to cook their food, they don't have their own private bathrooms with running water and flushing toilets, they have to work hard to try to keep themselves alive.
Survival for the people living in these tent cities can be pretty hellish at times. They went from living in a decent house in a decent neighborhood to living in a tent next to a tent which houses a possible criminal of some kind. The difference being obvious is that you can't lock your tent door.
So, back to them not being lazy. Most of them, who haven't given up yet on looking for a job, are waking up in the morning with the hopes that today might be the day, in which they finally land a decent job. The reality of this scenario is that there are a very large number of unemployed people, who are also hoping for new employment, because they got laid off, and they know that if they don't get another job in a reasonable amount of time, they may not be able to find one at all.
YES PEOPLE ... IT IS THAT BAD!! WE ARE IN A TIME NOW WHERE YOU NEED TO START LOOKING OUT FOR YOU AND YOUR NEIGHBORS ... BAND TOGETHER ... START A NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH ... IF YOU OR YOUR NEIGHBORS HAVE ENOUGH LAND TO GROW A COMMUNITY GARDEN THEN GET TOGETHER AND GROW A GARDEN. TRADE SERVICES WITH FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS SO THAT YOU CAN SAVE MONEY ... CAR POOL, EVEN WHEN YOU GO SHOPPING FOR GROCERIES ... HAVE A COMMUNITY YARD SALE OR BETTER YET, TRADE UNWANTED ITEMS WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS, CLOTHING, SHOES, JEWELRY, ETC ... UNWANTED DOES NOT MEAN THAT NO ONE ELSE WILL WANT IT, IT MEANS THAT YOU DON'T WANT IT ANYMORE.
This video is about tent cities, and what these people have had to deal with since they became homeless.
