When we are children we aren't aware that we have an Ego, but as we begin to grow into adulthood we become more aware of having an Ego due to constantly competing with other people.
There are, however, many people who do not acknowledge their Ego simply because the path that they have chosen to follow doesn't require them to become more aware of their own Ego.
Most people who are aware of their Ego tend to work within a competitive work environment by way of promotion and a higher salary to go along with the promotions.
With that said, whether you are aware of it or not there are another group of people who actually believe that their Ego is not a part of themselves, but believe that it is a spiritual higher self entity which helps them to connect to Aliens (ET) or Angels.
The problem I am having when it comes to Channeling is that when a person thinks that they are hearing voices in their head and that those voices are coming from somewhere out there in the Universe it is more plausible for me to believe that they are actually conversing with their own Ego than it is for them to be Channeling an ET or an Angel.
