What has religion got to do with it?

The prophecies have been foretold. The bible even has a prophecy section in it. It is called the Book of Revelations (For those of you who are unaware, for your own personal reasons).
Are we living in the trouble times era, which have been written about in the prophecies? How can we be sure that the many things, which have been happening with the economy spiraling out of control, is not a man made thing that was put into place, so that it would seem like the prophecies are coming true now?
Yes, I think like a scientist. When I went to school I was taught to think like that because science did matter at that time, as it hopefully will again according to the new administration.
And yes, I am all for the schools going back to the old way, where facts were proven facts and unproven facts were just all a crock of sh*t. Real facts should be backed by scientific evidence, PERIOD, otherwise anyone, no matter how uneducated they are could say whatever they want when trying to argue their pointless point, when those facts that he is reputing, were already scientifically proven decades ago. Oh wait, that is what the last 8 years have been about! Well, at least most of the smarter people (including me) saw right through that crap, and challenged the last administration about a lot of their so called facts.
My biggest concern is that they were high on the Christianity thing, but did you not notice that most of the people on their staff, who flaunted their version of Christianity , seemed to be very sinful? The perversion was unbelievable in some cases.
With that said, I am hoping that the Obama administration won't be as high on the religion thing, because it seems to distort a lot of peoples minds into thinking that they are always right, and that someone from a different faith is always wrong. Case in point ... the wars in the middle east, where they continue to use their religious beliefs in order to destroy another religion, by labeling them terrorists, just because the so called terrorists religion does not count in their book.
